NEWLY DISCOVERED DISNEYLAND "ENGINE-EARS" TRAIN NICKEL

Recently we came across an off-denomination coin from Disneyland. While unusual, it's fairly easy to put in a similar-sized coin, especially if it's foreign. However, rolling a nickel on penny artwork is pretty much impossible, unless you have access to the machine!

On the left is the standard DL0008 penny. On the right is a newly discovered nickel, rolled on the same machine! The only way this coin could have been produced is by someone who had access to the machine. If you look closely, ALL the detail is there. The coin is a 1989 nickel, so these two facts make it highly likely that this coin came out from the machine as a test roll before the machine went on-stage. An absolutely stunning off-denomination coin!

The Disneyland "Engine-Ears" Train Nickel is not for sale on this site. It was acquired by a private collector and is not in our inventory.
